Working Principle
Our turbine flow meters utilize infrared reflections to measure flow. For a more detailed explanation, watch the video below:
Achieving accuracies of 1%, our devices provide reliable measurements.
Each flow tube comes with its own K-factor (calibration factor). The K-factor represents the number of pulses per liter of liquid passing through the flow meter. You can find the factory-calibrated K-factor listed on the label attached to each flow tube. Typical K-factor values are available on the respective product pages.
Measured Medium
The flow meters are designed to measure low viscosity liquids. On the respective product pages, you can find the recommended flow range, temperatures, and pressures. If you need personal assistance to ensure compatibility with your specific process conditions, feel free to contact our engineers.
Our flow meters are tested with liquids, when using gasses, we therefore cannot make any claims with respect to accuracy and longevity.
The reflection measurement principle employed by our flow meters allows accurate measurement of both opaque and colored liquids. In cases where a white opaque liquid is used, we can provide a flow meter with a black turbine for optimal performance.
To ensure trouble-free operation, we recommend using an in-line filter before the flow meter. The recommended pore sizes range from 100 to 250 microns, depending on the flow meter model that is used. Particles that can pass through these pores pose no problem for our flow meters.
Characteristics
For details on the materials used in our flow meters and their wetted parts (those in direct contact with the liquid), please refer to the respective product pages.
The available process connectors for each flow meter are listed on the product pages.
Electrotechnical
Yes, you can. We offer two products that seamlessly integrate with our flow meter for flow monitoring:
- Flow Display
- A compact display that shows the current flow rate.
- Flow Controller
- Monitors the flow rate and displays the totalized volume.
- Additionally, we have a dual flow version available, allowing connection to two flow meters.
Yes, you can. Our Batch Controller is designed for batch control applications. It utilizes relays to e.g., open or close valves based on the dosed volume.
Yes, we offer custom-made and OEM solutions tailored to your specific requirements. Reach out to our engineering team for one-on-one support and to discuss your application.
Calibration
Yes, each flow meter is factory calibrated. Our calibration process involves continuous water flow to ensure accurate measurements.
We recommend performing a calibration if your experimental conditions differ from our test conditions. For instance, if you use pulsating flow, we recommend performing a calibration. Typically, the deviation from our calibration remains constant, so you only need to determine it once.
Absolutely! We can provide a Certificate of Conformity for all our products. Additionally, each flow meter can be provided with a Calibration Certificate, available for either 1 or 5 calibration point(s). You can download examples of these certificates.
If you require certificate(s) after receiving your order, please reach out to our sales team for further assistance.

Yes, our PVDF disposable flow tubes can withstand sterilization with a gamma radiation dose of up to 50 kGy.
When using disposable flow tubes, you have three options:
- Manual Entry:
- Manually input the K-factor of the new tube.
- Average K-Factor:
- Use the average K-factor from the flow tubes you have ordered (if a slight decrease in accuracy is acceptable).
- Barcode Scanner :
- Utilize our barcode scanner for seamless recalibration.
